Pinkfly Community Guidelines

Building businesses. Sharing knowledge. Growing together.

  • Welcome to Pinkfly

Pinkfly is a community for women who are building businesses, exploring ideas, learning new skills and creating their own paths in entrepreneurship. We believe that meaningful progress comes from sharing knowledge, building genuine relationships and making space for women to learn from one another. Whether you are exploring your first business idea or growing an established venture, you belong here. Pinkfly is more than a network. It is a community built on mutual respect, generosity and a shared commitment to helping women founders move forward. These guidelines help us create a space where every member feels welcome, respected and encouraged to contribute.

  • 1. Generosity First

Share what you know. Help where you can. Grow together. Every member brings a different set of experiences, skills and perspectives. What feels simple to one founder may be a valuable insight to another. Share useful resources, lessons, experiences and opportunities when relevant. Offer constructive advice when someone asks for help. Celebrate the progress and achievements of fellow members. Be generous with knowledge while respecting your own professional boundaries. Remember that meaningful support does not always require having all the answers. We grow stronger when we help one another move forward.

  • 2. Confidentiality Matters

Trust is built when people feel safe to share. Members may discuss business challenges, early-stage ideas, financial concerns and personal experiences. Treat these conversations with care. Do not forward private messages, screenshots, voice notes or conversations outside the community without permission. Do not disclose another member's business ideas, strategies, financial information, client details or personal circumstances. Ask for consent before introducing, tagging or sharing information about another member. Respect each member's right to decide what they share and with whom. Please remember that community guidelines cannot guarantee complete confidentiality on WhatsApp. Avoid sharing passwords, sensitive financial information, confidential client data or other information that should remain private.

  • 3. Connect Before You Pitch

Build relationships through relevance, respect and genuine interest. Pinkfly encourages members to discover one another's work, explore opportunities and build meaningful professional relationships. Introduce your business when relevant and explain what you do clearly. Share products, services or offers only when appropriate to the conversation or in designated promotional spaces. Do not send unsolicited sales pitches, repeated promotional messages or unwanted direct messages. Ask before adding members to other groups, mailing lists or marketing campaigns. Never use membership access as permission to harvest contact details or prospect aggressively. The aim is to create opportunities for business, not pressure members into buying.

  • 4. Respect Every Journey

Different stages. Different paths. Equal respect. Every founder's journey is different. Some members may be validating an idea, while others may be hiring teams, raising capital or expanding into new markets. Treat every member with dignity, regardless of business size, revenue, experience, industry or background. Avoid dismissive comments, personal attacks, belittling comparisons or unsolicited judgement. Offer feedback thoughtfully and accept that others may have different approaches. Respect different perspectives and disagree without being disrespectful. Never make someone feel that their business is less valuable because it is at an early stage. There is no single way to build a successful business. We make room for different ambitions and experiences.

  • 5. Show Up Honestly

Be authentic about what you know, what you offer and what you need. Strong communities are built on trust, and trust begins with honesty. Represent your experience, qualifications, business and affiliations accurately. Do not misrepresent results, make misleading claims or promise outcomes you cannot guarantee. Be transparent about commercial interests when recommending a product, service or opportunity. Share advice as personal experience where appropriate, rather than presenting it as a universal rule. Respect the difference between sharing an opportunity and guaranteeing its success. Members should feel comfortable asking questions, learning something new and acknowledging what they are still figuring out.

  • 6. Keep Conversations Constructive

Make every interaction worth someone's time. Pinkfly brings together women with different responsibilities, schedules and priorities. Help keep the community useful and easy to participate in. Keep messages relevant to entrepreneurship, business learning, community activities or member support. Avoid spam, chain messages, irrelevant forwards and repeated off-topic posts. Be mindful of message volume, especially in active WhatsApp groups. Respect event announcements, discussion topics and any group-specific instructions. Use private messages for conversations that do not need the wider group's attention, and respect boundaries if someone does not wish to engage. Friendly conversations and fun are welcome. We simply ask everyone to be considerate of the shared space.

  • 7. Protect Privacy and Personal Boundaries

Being part of a community does not mean giving up your privacy. Do not pressure members to reveal personal information, business numbers, funding details or private challenges. Obtain permission before sharing someone's contact details, photograph, message or business information. Do not add anyone to another group or mailing list without their consent. Respect a member's decision not to respond, participate in a session or pursue a collaboration. Do not impersonate another member or use community information for harassment, fraud or other harmful purposes. Every member has the right to participate at a level that feels comfortable to them

  • 8. Participate, Contribute and Grow

You do not have to know everything to have something valuable to share. Pinkfly is designed to be a two-way community. Members are encouraged to learn from others and contribute in ways that suit their experience and availability. Ask questions and share challenges when you need perspective. Participate in webinars, coffee meetups and community discussions when you can. Share useful learning, relevant opportunities and thoughtful recommendations. Welcome new members and help them feel included. Offer feedback on community activities so Pinkfly can continue to improve. There is no requirement to be active every day. Meaningful participation matters more than constant activity.

  • 9. Keep Collaboration Fair and Professional

Explore opportunities with clarity and mutual respect. Pinkfly can help members discover potential collaborators, customers, suppliers, mentors and partners. Any professional relationship formed through the community remains the responsibility of the people involved. Discuss expectations, responsibilities, timelines and payment terms clearly. Put important commercial agreements in writing. Respect intellectual property and do not use another member's work without permission. Do not pressure members into partnerships, investments, purchases or unpaid work. Conduct your own due diligence before entering a business arrangement. Pinkfly does not guarantee the conduct, credibility, performance or outcomes of individual members or third-party businesses.

  • 10. Maintain a Safe and Inclusive Space

Every member deserves to feel welcome and respected. Pinkfly does not tolerate behaviour that undermines the safety or dignity of the community. The following are not acceptable: Harassment, bullying, threats, discrimination or personal attacks. Sexually inappropriate, abusive or intimidating messages. Hate speech or deliberate humiliation. Fraudulent offers, impersonation, scams or knowingly misleading claims. Repeated unwanted contact or retaliation against someone who raises a concern. Sharing private information or content without consent. Using the community to solicit members for unrelated schemes or exploit their trust. Members should contact the Pinkfly team if they experience or witness behaviour that conflicts with these guidelines.

  • 11. How Concerns Are Handled

Pinkfly aims to address concerns fairly, respectfully and with appropriate discretion. If a concern is reported, the team may: Review the information available and seek clarification where appropriate. Contact the people involved to understand the situation. Issue a reminder or warning where suitable. Restrict posting or participation, remove a member from a group or end their membership when warranted. Take immediate action where there is a serious safety, privacy or misconduct concern. The response will depend on the nature, seriousness and circumstances of the issue. Pinkfly may act without a prior warning when necessary to protect members. Please report concerns directly to the Pinkfly team rather than escalating disputes in the group. We will handle reports as discreetly as reasonably possible, although complete confidentiality cannot always be guaranteed.

  • 12. A Shared Commitment

By joining Pinkfly, you agree to make a reasonable effort to follow these guidelines and contribute to a respectful, constructive community. These guidelines may be updated as Pinkfly grows and new activities or community formats are introduced. Members will be informed of material changes. If you have questions about these guidelines or need to report a concern, please contact the Pinkfly team through the official website.

  • Our Promise to One Another

We will share knowledge generously. We will respect each other's journeys. We will protect each other's trust. We will build relationships with integrity. We will celebrate progress, learn from challenges and make room for every woman who is working towards something meaningful. Because when women help women build, everyone has more room to grow. Welcome to Pinkfly. Let's grow together.
